Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 2 apples -peeled and cored and cubed-
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil -for the pan-
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar 5 grams
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

For the crumble:

  • 1/3 cup whole almond flour 33 grams
  • 1 tbsp oats 15 grams
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup

Drizzle:

  • almond spread or Biscoff spread

Instructions

For the filling:

  1. Preheat the oven at 350°F or 180°C.

  2. Heat the coconut oil in a pan to medium heat, and add the apple when the coconut oil is melted. Add the apples and the rest of the filling ingredients. Cook and stir until the apples start to soften. Remove from the heat and put the filling in a greased ramekin for one serving.

For the crumble:

  1. In a small bowl, add the whole almond flour, oats and cinnamon. Add a pinch of salt if desired. Stir and then add the maple syrup, 1 tbsp at a time until you have a crumble consistency. When you do, sprinkle on top of the apples.

  2. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

    Remove from the oven, and drizzle spread on top of your crumble while it's still hot.
