  • 165 grams medjool dates
  • 40 ml almond milk -or any plant-based milk-
  • 27 grams almond butter -or any nut butter-
  • 20 grams banana
  • 30 grams coconut sugar
  • 35 grams almond flour
  • 20 grams cocoa powder
  • 1/3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • walnuts & dark chocolate chips -optional-

  1. Boil some water and pour on the dates -in a bowl- and let sit for about 15 min.

Meanwhile, preheat your oven at 180°C (350°F) and line a 8 x 15 cm (3x6 inch) pan with parchment paper.

  2. Drain the water of the dates and add in a small blender.

Add also: almond milk, almond butter, and banana.

  3. When smooth, add in a medium bowl. Add the almond flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder and baking soda. Mix with a spatula. Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips if using.

  4. Drop the thick (it's brownie!) batter in the pan, and even it out with an offset spatula or a spatula.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes tops, then remove and let cool.
